Jesse Galloway - you saved my life!

As much as I'd like to write an essay on this, it's best if I keep it relatively short.

My battle with severe eczema ended nearly 6 years ago, so I'm not too sure why it's taken me so long to write you about it, but here it is...

I've had eczema all my life, but only in small, generally short lived, amounts which would come and go over the years. Around the time I turned 18, my eczema took a turn for the worst. In what seemed like a very short period of time my eczema went from mild and occasional, to severe and chronic. All of my body but my face, majority of my hands, and a small patch between my shoulder blades (only because I couldn't reach here to scratch the burning itch), was covered in red, scaly, raw skin. Living each day with dead skin falling out from underneath my clothes, the constant embarrassment of scratching in public, and waking up with blood on my hands from scratching in my sleep was simply becoming too much for me. I never thought anyone would have to remove the dead skin from their bed's fitted sheet and vacuum their room every day because of the sheer amount of dead skin all over the carpet. I won't go into the details of how it felt as I'm sure we're all aware of the torture which is eczema, but I will tell you that after consulting doctors who only offered steroid creams and ointments, I felt hopeless, depressed, and frustrated about my condition, and my life.

My older brother of two years, a bit of a health-nut at the time, suggested I try natural skin remedies. I didn't care what I had to do. If there was a possibility I could be cured, then I'd give anything a shot at this point. Never did I think that I'd have to turn my diet and eating habits on its head, however. Firstly, when I showered in the morning, I'd exfoliate my entire body with coffee grounds. After bathing I'd lather my body in a homemade coconut oil moisturizer from a two liter jar, courtesy of my brother. It was a start.

It wasn't until my bother suggested my diet changes. That's when I found your website. After four long months of eating following your diet suggestions and eating nothing but fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts & seeds, green smoothies etc., teamed with taking various supplements and herbal remedies... the eczema was gone. Even still, I'm overwhelmed with happiness that my skin (for the most part) has returned to normal. For me, the diet was no easy feat. I'm a lover of wheat products, meat, and various other eczema triggers, so going on what is essentially a vegan diet was very difficult. But, it works. The diet works. All my mental and physical torment came to an end and I've been able to return to eating a normal diet, making sure to stay conscious of trigger foods.

Thank you so much. Although the remedy for my full-body chronic eczema seems obvious now - it sure wasn't back then. All the skepticism I had in relation to having such a restricted diet has now faded and I see it now as close-mindedness.

Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart. You helped cure a soul which was in extreme distress, almost to the point of wanting to end it with the worst way imaginable. It's difficult for me to put into proper words and I am no wordsmith, but you saved my life. - Jesse
